Black History Program
Our school community celebrated Black History Month with an outstanding program featuring Kris Williams as our Master of Ceremony. The speaker for the event was Jerome Rice III, “Jay,” and he was introduced by his father, Mr. Jerome Rice. He spoke to our students and audience about Goals and their importance to everyone.
We enjoyed video tributes to famous Black Americans, several special Boys and Girls Club dance performances, and our Mary H. Wright Chorus’ musical selections.
Members of our community visited the Black History Committee’s fabulous Black History Museum following the program. Complete with interactive displays, historical scenes, documentaries, activities, beautiful works of art, and much more, it was an educational experience enjoyed by all.
Thank you to all who had a part in coordinating and creating our Black History Month events.
